Notice is hereby given that the Donington on Bain Parish Council AGM will be held on

Tuesday 5th May 2026 - Village Hall 

The meeting will commence at 7.30pm when members of the public can ask questions or make statements from this time with the full Council meeting  commencing at 7.45pm.  

Members of the Public and Press are welcome.

AGM  

Prior to the start of the AGM, there will be an opportunity to share some light refreshments with the Councillors, and have informal discussions with them about your concerns etc.

At 8pm the meeting will commence with the following.

1. Election of Chairman

To elect the Chairman and receive the Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

2. Election of Vice-Chairman

To elect the Vice-Chairman and receive the Declaration of Acceptance of Office (if required).

3. Apologies for Absence

4. Declarations of Interest

To receive declarations of disclosable pecuniary interests and other interests.

5. Minutes of the Previous Meeting

To approve the minutes of the meeting held on April 7th 2026.

Governance & Annual Administration

6. Review of Governance Documents

To review and approve:

• Standing Orders
• Asset Register
• Insurance cover
• Meeting schedule for the coming year

The full council meeting will commence after this session has ended.

Ordinary Council Business

1. To receive reports from outside bodies

2. Finance

To approve payments, note receipts, and review the latest bank reconciliation.

3. A list of ‘paid’ allotments to be sourced

4. Permission to reprint the Village map

5. Permission to print signage (external) for ‘No Dog Fouling’ to be placed strategically around the village

6. Costings for new Village Gates

7. Costs involved in replacing the damaged items in the playing field area

8. The bank mandate to be completed by all listed on the account.

9. The Community Action Group set up - feedback
