DONINGTON ON BAIN PARISH COUNCIL
NOTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2022
THE MEETING WAS OPENED AT 7.30PM.
Present: Cllr. K. White, Cllr F Beaney,, Cllr B Gill-Stafford
In Attendance: Mrs V Davies, Clerk.

There were no parishioners present.
108.22 APOLOGIES WITH REASONS FOR ABSENCE AND ACCEPT APOLOGIES WHERE VALID REASONS, GIVEN TO THE PARISH CLERK PRIOR TO THE MEETING.
Apologies were received from Cllr. M. Fisher, Cllr J Burnham, Cllr R Wright, Cllr K Olsson
109.22 TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST UNDER THE LOCALISM ACT 2011 – BEING ANY PECUNIARY INTEREST IN AGENDA ITEMS NOT PREVIOUSLY RECORDED ON MEMBERS’ REGISTER OF INTERESTS AND ANY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR DISPENSATION.
There were no declarations of interest.
110.22 TO APPROVE AS A CORRECT RECORD, THE NOTES OF THE MEETING OF
THE COUNCIL HELD ON 26 JULY 2022 AND TO AUTHORISE THE CHAIRMAN TO
SIGN THE OFFICIAL MINUTES.
It was proposed Cllr White, seconded Cllr Beaney and resolved by all Cllrs that the notes of the meeting held on the 26 July 2022 be approved as a correct record. These would be signed by the Chairman.
111.22 CLERKS REPORT.
Cllr Wright and Cllr Gill-Stafford had replaced the wooden bridge in the play area.
112.22 MUGA AND PLAY AREA
Councillors considered the annual inspection reports.
MUGA
The following issues were highlighted.
Delamination of wood. Cllr Gill-Stafford would look into pricing for replacing the wood around the MUGA.
Gates access is limited by soil. This would be padlocked which would resolve the issue.
Moss Algae. Councillor White would contact a contractor to ask them to carry out the work to remove the moss. Proposed Cllr White, seconded Cllr Gill-Stafford expenditure of approximately £1400.
PLAYGROUND
Gaps on playground flooring. Cllr Wright had filled in the holes but this had been removed. No action would be taken at present.
Playground notice. Cllr White would amend the sign and include his number.
Swing. Dry Bearings/Loose swing seat eye bolts. Cllr Gill Stafford would resolve
Fixtures on Multiplay. Cllr Gill Stafford would tighten the shackle.
Exposed metal on rope on Toddler Multiplay. Cllr Gill-Stafford would look into the issue.
Corrosion of rocker see saw. Cllr Gill Stafford would look into this issue.
Swing. Butterfly shackles have been used, presenting non-rounded edges. Cllr Gill-Stafford would look into resolving.
113.22 FINANCE. TO APPROVE THE CHEQUES FOR SEPTEMBER AND NOTE THE FINANCIAL REPORTS.
Proposed Cllr Gill Stafford seconded Cllr Beaney and agreed by all Cllrs to authorise the cheques for payment.

Cllrs noted the Income v Expenditure reports. Cllr White and Cllr Gill Stafford verified the bank statements.
114.22 PLANNING
N/042/01597/22. Change of use, conversion of and alterations to the existing stable block and utility building to provide an annexe and a holiday let. THE HOLLIES, STATION ROAD, DONINGTON ON BAIN, LOUTH, LN11 9TR. The Parish council supported the application.
115.22 FOOTPATH/ WALKS LEAFLET
There was no further progress on the leaflet.
116.22 TO ARRANGE SAFETY INSPECTIONS. (TREES)
Cllr Gill-Stafford had conducted an inspection of the trees. There were no issues.
117.22 ALLOTMENTS
The clerk would send out the allotment renewal forms.
118.22 CEMETERY
There were no issues.
119.22 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
It was resolved that Cllr Beaney would be added as a signatory to the Bank account.
The Parish council agreed that Cllr Beaney purchase 12kg of daffodil bulbs at a cost of £24.
Councillors noted bridge maintenance works commencing 26 September to 14 November 2022 for essential works strengthening of Fox Covert Bridge
